Check your oil

This sounds v girlie, which is odd as I'm much more bloke-like, but I never knew you had to check your oil every 2 months or so, and that if it ran out your engine would immediately blow up! Don't ask how I found out, suffice to say I learnt the hard way, and am now very hot on the subject, and have also discovered that not only is oil like blood to the engine, but water's vital too, and not just needed in the bit you fill up for washing the windscreen, there;s another big water tank in there too apparently. I'm about to go hunt mine out... Happy cruising!

I also found out the expensive way that if you hear a faint ticking in the engine that wasn't there before, go and have your cam belt checked out. Mine broke and you need to have a significant part of your engine rebuilt once this happens. I now have £1600 on my credit card!
