Hi Katie and Emily and everyone on the forum

I need childcare over the weekends. My DD (darling daughter) has activities over the weekends therefore I need a young person who is responsible enough to ferry her to classes and perhaps go swimming with her on sundays but i dont no where to look. Can you advise please?

By the way I have watched your TV programme this is where I first heard of you. it is a shame that it isn't on any more found it really encouraging.

Many many thanks

Dear Fish,  Would an

Dear Fish,  Would an au-pair be any good to you?  I had some arranged through a local language school and although it menas having someone else living with you it means that you have babysitting for free, someone who your children become very familiar with and who can take them to clubs etc?  If you haven't got a spare bedroom for an au-pair (and don;t worry about it being too small, no TV etc as from experience they all prefer a happy home than all the luxuries!) then how about contacting local langauge schools or  6th form / FE colleges, universities etc to see if a student fancies the work?  One of my friends did that and found 2 or 3 students that she and the children liked and it means if one's not free she has 2 more to call on.  Or spread the owrd amongst friends and some might have older neices / nephews / neighbours who might be worth asking?  IGood luck with the search!  Emily
