It is now time to focus on the future , why not think about some life coachingIt’s time to focus on you. When was the last time you really focused on yourself? For so many of us, life has taken unexpected turns, events have overtaken us and though we’re managing to ‘get by’, we can’t remember a time when our focus was on ourselves. Sound familiar? Following whatever major change or upheaval you have experienced, maybe now you feel ready to move ahead with your life. You may feel that it is time to increase the positive influences around you, increase your social network or focus on new healthy relationships. Whatever the reason, it is time to focus on you. Life Coaching is a process that can provide you with the tools to realise your true potential, build your confidence, improve your self-motivation, improve decision making, increase positive thought, provide direction in your career, or improve relationships. It is about helping you make significant changes in your life. Take John for example. Five years ago, John found himself heartbroken, with no confidence and totally disillusioned when his long term relationship came to an end. John became a recluse and avoided all social contact. He felt so inadequate that he lost all his self esteem and avoided any situation where he had to be in contact with others. Six months ago John realised that he couldn’t continue his life this way and sought help. Through our Coaching sessions he has re-discovered himself, is focused on new horizons and is taking positive steps towards that brighter future. John has identified a path forward and is following this by setting himself practical activities to do. He has joined an amateur theatre group, is now actively looking to change jobs. He is renewing contact with old friends and acquaintances. Everyday he is feeling more confident in himself and his abilities. John has identified that all the good things that have happened to him in the past can happen again. Susannah’s case highlights how exploring issues in a safe environment with a Coach can make a significant difference – not just to her life, but to her daughter’s life too. Susannah is a single mother with 1 child. Her marriage broke up soon after her daughter was born. Susannah’s confidence was totally shattered and her life hit rock bottom. Her daughter was the only thing that kept her going, and for the last 6 years had totally dedicated all of her time to her. When Susannah started Life Coaching – it opened up a whole new world to her that had been buried since the marriage break-up. Susannah was able to talk about herself and think about herself for the first time in years. She rediscovered and identified what she was capable of doing. The coaching process provided her with a direction and the motivation to move on. Today Susannah is a changed person. She has moved locations, has setup her own business that fits in with her life as a mother, has began to generate her own income, and has a whole new network of positive healthy relationships. Both John and Susannah benefited from Coaching sessions. When we worked together I helped them with identifying areas within their life that they wanted to change. From there they were able to start setting goals and then we explored what blocks were getting in the way of them achieving these goals. Life Coaching is a way to realise your true potential, through a process of uncovering and then eliminating destructive behavioural and thinking patterns. The process is provided in a supportive, caring, non-judgemental and confidential environment. Coaching can either be face to face, by telephone or Skype. The first session would take approximately one to one and a half hours. Ongoing sessions would last for an hour. There are 8 core sessions which cover areas such as goal setting, beliefs, motivation, values, rules, values, communication and our 6 human needs. Ongoing coaching builds upon and compliments the previous sessions. The cost per session is £55.00. Today so many people spend money on Personal Trainers to help get them into shape physically - feeling and looking good. People invest time and money into researching their next holiday destination; they invest time into planning a dinner party – the menu, guest list, seating plan. How many people invest the time and money into their emotional growth and well-being? Deciding to prioritise yourself and focus on your emotional well-being is essentially what Life Coaching is about. It is a fantastic experience and very rewarding when you can achieve your gaols and live a happier more contented, fulfilled and successful life. If you are interested in talking about the benefits of a coaching session, please feel free to give me a call or email me, and I would be happy to talk you through my approach. Sally Horder |
