I'm not really sure where to start and wonder if I'm feeling a bit too emotional to make much sense. any way, here goes...

I am a part time worker returning to shift working.

I have many friends who can help on an ad hoc basis but now need to secure overnight childcare in my childs home.

I have considered nanny/au pair but my childcare needs are flexible and probably wouldnt warrant a permanent nanny role etc??? Only three evenings and three night duties over five week period and average 27hours per week.

Can anyone offer advice/tips/suggestions please?

Where do I start.....

My ex husband and I split up when our son was 18 months old he is now 9, and since then have always had the same agreed access, split Monday & Tuesday with his dad and Wednesday, Thursday & Friday with me and we share alternate weekends. We share holidays, birthdays and Christmas and this has worked for everyone until the last few months.

I am a single mum of a 5 year old. Her father decided that he didn’t want to be a father when she was a baby.  We have had little contact with him since then, A he now lives a long way away (his choice) we stay in regular contact via email to find out how we are doing.  I do not resent him at all. I wish him all the best
