Children don’t live with you?My kids don't want to come homeI gave my now ex-husband's sister and brother-in-law power of attorney over our two sons when my husband went to prison and I ended up losing my home. They have been there almost a year, and it's almost time for me or my ex to go move the boys back to our town, which is 6 hours away from where the boys live with their aunt and uncle. I talk to the boys twice a week on the phone, and was able to go visit them once a few months ago. Categories:
Child lost interest in me?I am a non resident mum and have been living apart from my son since he is 2 years old then another woman step into my son life. The outcome now, my son thinks his stepmum is his "birthmum" and called her "mummy". When my son is 3 years old, I was not in his life as I went back to my own country for a break after my divorced. It didnt help my relationship with my son and hardly I can keep in contact over the phone. After a year break, I managed to relocate myself back in England as I have problem finding accommodation and work. Categories:
What to do if your Child says they don't want to come and see you anymoreDear Kate & Emily, My son is 6 years old and has Autism... I've have had full and regular contact with him since I split with his mother over 2 years ago... I have moved on, and am living with my new partner (60 miles away from my son)who is expecting a baby any day now.. My ex-wife made some allegations back in November 2007, regarding her father sexually abusing her as a child.. Obviously, I was alarmed by this and sought clarification, that her father would not be allowed access to my son. She denied the whole conversation, and said that I was bitter. Categories:
Advice I miss my childrenHi, Thought I would join this to get some advice, it was two and a half years ago when my wife sat me down and told me she didn’t love me anymore, we tried Relate but it seems the pull of the bright lights and late night flings was what she preferred to me. So after many nights of tears and pain I decided to leave in April this year. Categories:
visiting dadHi, perhaps a different perspective? My wife and I split in February, when I moved out of the family home in London. I now live in Southsea; a choice made partially to make visits to dad more interesting with a huge choice of fun things to do. My son is 13 and my daughter 8; my son is fairly dyspraxic and my daughter dyslexic: the mix of ages, sexes and disabilities make any time together challenging. Family history is that we lived partially in Kenya before the split, spending every holiday there and the children have a life there with home, toys, pets and adventures. Categories:
