I posted back in Nov 2009 under "Unwilling Fathers..Another Absent Father". My son has just turned 2 years old and still they have never met. I continued to send newsworthy letters + photos to father in USA.

I recently filed child support claim to establish paternity and child support in the USA from here in France and having been served with the papers the father has finally picked up the telephone.

So, they finally said hello to each other this week and our discussion loosely went something like this:

My daughter is 21 months old and contact with her father has up till now been minimal to say the least. He has re-appeared and obtained a contact order claiming that offering visits with my daughter in our home is frustrating his contact.

He left me when I was pregnant for another woman whom he is still with. Contact with my daughter and her father began officially last friday and went well, he is asking to introduce his partner to my daughter (despite the fact he has 8 siblings all of whom have had no contact and neither has his mother).

Hi i wrote you a message about 12 weeks ago called should i ever give up trying.

Hi just wondered if you could advise me. I have a twelve year old daughter who has had no contact with her biological father for just over ten years.

My baby's father and I had a brief relationship which ended before I found out I was pregnant. We maintained a good relationship throughout the pregnancy and birth and in the last six months since our baby was born have become good friends, speaking on a daily basis and seeing each other a couple of times a week.
