I got your book - I have been reading a lot of things I liked and as always in those kind of books I am missing something: what if your ex has some serious problem and even the (two in my case) therapists consider the way he is interacting with his child not healty for the child? History in my case: our son (who is now 3,5) happend after 6 weeks of relationship, he is very manipulativ and nacistic (which I have "forgiven" cause it is not something he does on "purpose" he is just "ill" and he is lying without realising it).

i have recently split from my partner of 18mnths who i was engaged too. we have a beautiful 5mnth old daughter together.
the split wasnt a good one and the mother is being very hostile toward me. she is telling me i wont have my daughter overnight and id better take her to court!
i dont really want to go down this route and would like to keep it ammicable.

Hello all- am relatively new to this website but have been seperated for 18 months..all thankfully fairly amicable until few months ago when we had to make a financial decision and the two kids and i moved out and left him with family home- this was fine-much prefer my new house- but as the mortgage was huge on our old home a close friend of his moved in with him and since then they have been living a bachelor boy lifestyle(both in their 30s)which means the state of house has declined to a point where its unfit for the kids to stay ( broken toilet and taps ,no hoover, mess everywhere, fridge i

Hi - just needing some reassurance on how to deal with a recent situation. My daughter returned from a weekend with her father and that evening she said she wanted to go on a diet, asked to change what she has for breakfast and said she didn't want me to give her cakes, biscuits,chocolate or sweets anymore. I explained to her that eating healthily is a good thing and that eating healthily means a little bit of everything.
