Here’s to us! Fun to be had

What do you know about Camels?

Hello to all, just joined the forum and to not be ghost user with no posts will post some USELESS joke :) +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "Smoking in the Rain" Two old ladies were waiting for a bus and one of them was smoking a cigarette. It started to rain, so the old lady reached into her purse, took out a condom, cut off the tip and slipped it over her cigarette and continued to smoke. Her friend saw this and said, "Hey that's a good idea!

Thank you!

Thank you, thank you - what an excellent site which actually hits exactly on the issues that I (and I am guessing many others) are living through and bravely facing on a daily basis. I split from my XH 2 years ago and am now raising 2 delightful boys (4 and 6) myself. We have arranged for daddy to see them every other weekend which is working well and the drop offs and collections seem to go smoothly. The boys appear to be thriving - which I am mightly proud of. I am finding being a single mum much less painful than being in the awful relationship I was living with but..

Easter in the rain, how to have fun inside

This morning I shall be on the wireless banging on about making merry inside whilst the weather is so vile outside. Before I get you up to your elbows in cutting pasting and paper mache here are a couple of bigger thoughts for the weekend for you to mull on ……Whether you are with your children this holiday season or if they are away. For some reason wet weather needs planning , probably because it makes most of us feel on the flat and mis side, but the consequence of this vibe spontaneous fun just happens less .

Help I am completely lost!

I have been through a lot over the years from a nervous breakdown with two visits to the Priory in one year; was made redundant; domestic and mental abuse; gave birth to twins nearly loosing my house which I managed to save at the eleventh hour; All in the space of 18 months! and now going through 4 year divorce which started the same year the girls were born. But thanks to you - even though there are bad days I still feel there is hope.

A few thoughts from a long-time single parent

I happened across Kate & Emily's TV program yesterday. I don't know what caught my interest but I watched two shows and just had to find out more. So many things that I've thought and experienced were being talked about - it felt like I'd written some of the scripts. I searched the internet for more info and here I am. I split up from my husband in 1992 and boy, do I wish that the girls (yes, that's you Kate and Emily!) had been around back then.
