Welcome to our web site offering practical support for single parent mothers and fathers.

We are two regular  folk who have found ourselves single parents, each of us with a different story;  Kate was left and Emily left.  Although we have no formal qualifications whatsoever, we do have loads of common sense and loads of experience (either our own or 2nd hand from the many others we've met along the way). We're a straight talking duo with a very unique blend of empathy, encouragement, humour and advice to help you and your family move on!

Go to our forums to read other people's problems and the advice we, and others, gave.  Post your own problem, or add your own comments, experiences and advice to ours.  We're not experts, just agony aunts and nearly always have an opinion or idea!  But - we haven't experienced it all so please help others by giving your own ad vice - the more the merrier!

Parenting together apart - our groups and seminars. 

We will be starting a once a month meet up group in Wandsworth on wednesday Feb 1  , which will be a chance to chat and think about some of the conundrums you may face. Low key and relaxed no pressure to show and tell ! just a chance to meet others and think about some single parenty thinks in a fun and useful way. 7.30 - 9 St Lukes community hall on Thurleigh road , either just tip up or contact us via the web site . I shall be writing up the session in the blog so that if you want to join in next time at the beginning of March you can get a good idea what we get up to

We have devised a marvellous game 'Banter With The Kids' which gets conversations going at mealtimes or in the car or wherever you are gathered come to that . By asking everyone questions from which olympic gold would you like to win? Through to what would you like to find out more about? Everyone is given airtime and a chance to chat and share and have fun. You can buy it for a  bargain £5 (postage included)    

 

Our featured article is all about contact lenses, slightly odd, but Emily's reached the point where vanity's getting the better of her, as she's getting fed up of wearing glasses all the time, so is looking into all this stuff
